InterQuest Equity ('IQequity') is the private equity arm of InterQuest Group plc.

IQequity is led by Gary Ashworth, a serial entrepreneur with a track record in building successful recruitment companies, generating wealth and opportunity for key stakeholders. Gary is currently Executive Chairman of InterQuest Group plc, an AIM-listed IT recruitment group with annual revenues in excess of £100m.

His previous company Abacus Recruitment was the fastest growing company listed on AIM in 1996 and 1997. At IQequity he is assisted by a finance and operations team who have a history of making money in the sector.

Our philosophy is to work separately branded, specialist markets within IT and technology recruitment, becoming trusted sources of knowledge, earning higher margins in smaller niches.

We hope to complete transactions in two distinct areas:

Start-up capital- To fund individuals or teams looking to start their own IT recruitment business
Acquisitions – We are actively looking to purchase existing IT recruitment businesses.
